Women in Agribusiness Conference and Investment Expo, 2023

WAC 2023

The  Chamber of Agribusiness Ghana and the Agri-Food Value Innovations and Marketing Society, Ghana, in collaboration with the Ghana Intellectual Property Office of the Registrar Department of Ghana, will host the maiden "Women in Agribusiness Conference and Investment Expo, 2023". The theme for the event is Women MSMEs and Intellectual Property: Accelerating Agribusiness Innovations and Creativity. The event is scheduled for 25th and 26th of April, 2023, in line with World Intellectual Property Day, 2023. The World Intellectual Property Day allows a great opportunity to celebrate the power of innovations and creativity and to explore how intellectual property (IP) supports the drive to build a better future. In 2023, the theme for World Intellectual Property Day is Women and IP: Accelerating Innovations and Creativity.

We invite you to join us in celebrating the work of trailblazing women in Ghana and to encourage more women to participate in the IP system for their various agribusiness activities. Current data show that, despite modest increases, too few women are using the IP system. The current gender gap in IP means that we are all missing out. We all benefit when women engage in innovations and creativity. With more diverse and inclusive ecosystems for innovations and creativity, we improve our collective capabilities to transition to a more sustainable future.

The Chamber of Agribusiness Ghana (CAG) and Partners aim to contribute to building a thriving and booming agribusiness sector that drives entrepreneurship, investment, poverty alleviation, food and nutrition security, wealth creation and contributing to Ghana’s economic development and middle-income status. To ensure the success of this event, CAG is also seeking financial support and key stakeholders’ involvement to support and promote this important and unique event.  We, therefore, take this opportunity to invite you to partner with us and be part of this rewarding maiden event from the 24-25th April, 2023 at the Fore Court of the National Theatre, Accra, Ghana.
